Whole Foods Market Giving Grill

Whole Foods Market Giving Grill

Whole Foods Market will host a “Giving Grill” on Saturdays in April to support the Downtown YMCA Youth Soccer League, helping all kids play. For only $5, you can get a fresh meal off the grill!

Boot Camp/Advanced H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training)

This high intensity group exercise class will take you to the next fitness level. It incorporates TRX bands, free weights, sprinting, resistance bands, medicine balls and more. This four-week program is designed to get you in shape and lose weight.

June 30 – July 25
August 4 – 28
September 8 – October 3
October 13 – November 7
November 17 – December 12

Days/Times: Meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on the 4th floor from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Personal Training

Get one-on-one fitness training with a nationally certified trainer. Looking for an advantage? Personal training is designed to evaluate, motivate, and educate so that you can take your workout to the next level. Your trainer will provide motivation to help you meet your goal; whether it is training for a sport, getting ready for a special event, or improving your health, personal training will help you meeting your goal.

Summer T-Ball and Coaches’ Pitch

YMCA Baseball is an instructional and recreational league. Younger participants will be introduced to the game and learn basic skills such as running the bases, catching, throwing and batting while older players will have the chance to play a more values-based competitive game to help improve their skills. The program will include a practice day and one game each week. All players will have fun in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

Ages:
3-5 year olds (co-ed): T-ball
6 – 9 year olds: Coaches’ Pitch

Registration: March 21 – May 24

Season: practice starts June 2, games played June 14-August 9 on Saturdays

Cost:
Members: $38 / player
Non-members: $68/ player

HELP IS ON THE WAY! My Fit is a multi-step program to meet your needs, whether for fitness, inspiration or nutrition. We’ll help you develop life-promoting habits. Powered by MobileFit! A new, easy-to-use system to help you reach your health goals.

Smart Start: Through the support of a coach, participants will identify goals and a path to achieve these goals.

Healthy Eating: With the support of a coach, participants will use MobileFit nutrition to set goals, log foods and make healthy changes.

Personal Training: Certified personal trainers give one on one training, support and coaching.

Details will be available soon, online and at your branch’s front desk.

Indian Guides Spring Long House

Indian Guides Spring Long House

Ages: 5 to 9 years with Dad or guardian

Spring Long House is an overnight camping experience where tribes and individuals participate in traditional and non-traditional activities. Long House is where all Y Guides Tribes come together for tent camping, s’ mores, and more! It is a great way to meet the rest of the tribes and make more friends.

Meals provided: Saturday lunch, dinner and s’mores; Sunday breakfast and lunch. Participants must bring their own tents and gear. (Some cabin accommodations are available upon request and availability).

Activities include: Friday Night movie in the woods, Discovery Hiking, Archery, BB Guns, Canoeing, Kayaks, Horseback Riding, Medieval Castle Water Balloon Battle, Tribal Capture the Monarch, Fishing (bring your own equipment), S’mores and Council Fire.

Days: April 25 – 27, 2014
Program starts Friday night at 5 p.m. and end Sunday at 1 p.m.

Cost:
Members: $50 per parent/child team, $20 for each additional child

*Please note: participants must be currently registered as a Y Indian Guide or Trailblazer to join in the fun. Please register the father or accompanting parent for the Longhouse campout and list each participating child.

Run Red Bank 5k, 10k & Kids’ Fun Run

Run Red Bank 5k, 10k & Kids’ Fun Run

May 31, 2014 at Lexington Family YMCA

Come run, jog, or walk with us in Run Red Bank! The course is welcoming to beginners and pros alike. Families and kids are welcome! Join in and get fit! Proceeds benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, which lives by its mission to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities each day by never turning anyone away who cannot afford a YMCA program or Y-service.

CASH PRIZE!

$75 will be awarded to each of the Mens’ and Women’s winners of the 5k and the 10k!
