Boys Soccer Fall Development Festival

The inaugural Fall Development Festival was held October 15-16th in Lexington, SC. The tournament is an opportunity in the Midlands for U9-U12 recreational teams, in addition to junior academy teams, to enjoy some affordable tournament style competition. The South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) hopes to continue to have the Fall Festival each year in order to help monitor and develop soccer education in these age groups in the state. This year, the South Carolina United U10 Fulham team from Polo Road entered and won the East U10 Recreational Division. They were undefeated in four games, scoring many teamwork goals and giving up only six goals over the two days. While sharing goal keeping duties between six different players and with everyone sharing time on the back line, they came up with two clean sheets, including a clean sheet in the championship game. Overall, the Fulham squad impressed with unselfish team play and passing that would make their fellow South Carolina United recreational teams proud.
