Spring Break Lifeguard Certification Class
Do you want to become a certified lifeguard? Now is your chance to get an American Red Cross certification!

Thursday, April 17, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Friday, April 18, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Participant must attend all class dates and times and pass American Red Cross prerequesites of a 300 yard swim, retrieve a 10lb brick from bottom of pool, and tread water for 2 minutes. Class will give each participant skills to perform the duties that are required to be a lifeguard. Through videos, class room time, pool instruction, and hands on practice participant will learn all rescue skills needed for a lifeguard job. Successful completion of the class will make participant certified in CPR, AED, Lifeguarding, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen.

Water Babies Swim Lessons
Ages: 6 Months to 36 Months + parents
The primary objective is to get both the parent and child comfortable in the water. The parent will learn how to be safe with the child in and around the water. The child will become aware of the differences between moving on the water an on dry land while the parent will become aware of how to teach his/her child to be safer in and around the water. Classes are designed to allow the child to have fun in the water while the parent guides him to learn aquatic skills. Cloth diaper with plastic pants or diapers manufactured for swimming use are required.
With the help of songs, games, and social activities parents work hand-in-hand with our team in the water as we introduce water skills based on each child’s unique development level.

Adult Swim Lessons
Ages: 13 and up
The YMCA Adult Lesson plan offers an introduction to the water for those seeking to learn how to swim. The goal of these lessons is to make the adults competent, confident, and successful swimmers.
Registration: Six week sessions, registration is open three weeks prior to session date start.

Youth Swim Lessons
Registration: Registration is open two weeks prior and closes two days prior to start date and is available at the front desk or online.

These lessons follow the YMCA of the USA Progressive Swim Lesson Program. There are six levels of progressively challenging YMCA swim classes covering all strokes, diving fundamentals and safety skills. Lessons are offered during the weekdays as well as the weekends.
The purpose of the Y Swim Lessons Program is to develop competency in swimming along with confidence and endurance. The goals of the program are to teach personal safety, personal growth and stroke development in a values-based environment. Your child will be advanced to the next level only when he or she proficiently and safely performs the skills within his or her level. We teach individually to each child to advance their skills. We expect each child to learn and progress at his or her own rate.
Weekday Sessions, 4 weeks:

Saturday Sessions, 6 weeks:

3-5 year olds. This is an introductory swimming level. Ideal for children to adjust to the water and learn basic swimming movements as they progress toward swimming independently. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 4:45-5:15 p.m., or Saturdays, 9:15-9:45 a.m.
3-5 year olds. For children who can independently swim at least five feet without a flotation. Our team focuses on teaching progressive kick, arm, and breathing technique. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 5:15-5:45 p.m., or Saturdays, 10-10:30 a.m.
3-5 year olds. For children who are able to swim 15 feet independently without a flotation and their face is in the water with rhythmic breathing. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 5:15-5:45 p.m. or Saturdays, 10-10:30 a.m.
6-12 year olds. A beginner level for kids either uncomfortable or inexperienced in the water. Our team focuses on basic water skills including gliding with face in water, floating and kicking. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 5:50-6:30 p.m., or Saturdays, 10:45-11:25 a.m.
6-12 year olds. For swimmers able to complete at least 15 yards of front and back crawl independently. Our team will focus on progressive technique for the front and back crawl as well as the side stroke. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 5:50-6:30 p.m., or Saturdays, 10:45-11:25 a.m.
6-12 year olds. For swimmers able to complete 25 yards of front and back crawl. Our team focuses on building swim endurance, enhancing stroke technique, and introducing breaststroke and butterfly movements. Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs, 6:30-7:10 p.m., or Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.-12:10 p.m.
Masters Swim Team
Ages: 18 and up
Masters Swim Team is a successful blend of fitness and competitive swimming for adults 18 and older. The regular structure workouts use techniques of interval training in an atmosphere of fun, fitness, friendship and participation. Individuals who find it difficult to stick with a self-imposed, keep-fit routine will find it easier to maintain a Masters Swimming Program.

Private Swim Lessons
Ages: 3 and up
One-on-one swim lessons with a trained swim instructor. Each 30-minute session is scheduled between the instructor and the participant.

Jeep Home School Swim and Gym
Home schooled youth can enjoy the many opportunities the Y has to offer also. Certified, passionate, and enthu siatic instructors will teach your child more fundamentals to physical activities with lessons involving team concepts, sports development, and so much more. The program will follow core values of the Y (caring, respect, responsibility, honesty, and faith).

Ages: 3 – 18 years (participation depends on ability level)

Our specialty parties are designed to make your child’s party the BEST EVER! We offer party packages to fit everyone’s needs. Our parties provide you with an hour of a specialty activity – choose the pool or Deep Sea Discovery – and an hour in our party room. A host is provided to help make your party run smoothly. Water Aerobics is water exercise focused on building strength, mobility and flexibility. Classes are lead by a trained instructor for shallow and/or deep-water exercise. Float belts are provided for deep-water classes. Visit our schedules page for times and classes.
