The YMCA of Columbia is kicking off its 2016 Race Series with the annual Bunny Hop 5K on March 26, 2016 at the Downtown YMCA.

Five branches of the YMCA of Columbia host a race every year, from a 5k to a triathlon. The proceeds from each race benefit the YMCA of Columbia’s Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance to those in our community who need the Y’s life-changing programs and services. The Y’s community support addresses many issues such as school readiness, chronic diseases and youth feeding programs.

“Our Race Series provides a great way for our members and community to stay fit while helping our Annual Campaign,” says Erin Roof, Race Series Director for the YMCA of Columbia. “Our races are very family-oriented and geared toward all fitness levels from kids to walkers to elite runners. We strive to provide the best race experience in our area.”

Registration and more information on each race is available at www.columbiaymca.org/races.
