About Wendy Broderick

Wendy Broderick was an 18-year veteran of the YMCA of Columbia having served as the Jeep Rogers Branch Director and most recently as Chief Development Officer. She went on to serve Harvest Hope Food Bank in 2019 as their CEO.  Sadly, Wendy passed away on January 4, 2021 after dealing with private health issues.

During her time with the Y, she made a significant impact.  Her heart for philanthropy increased annual giving donations tenfold and she played an instrumental role in launching both the Jeep Rogers and Downtown Branch. She also spent a great deal of her YMCA Career raising awareness for the youth of our communities.

The YMCA has launched the Wendy Broderick Youth Memorial Fund to serve underprivileged youth in the Columbia area. Each dollar given to the Wendy Broderick Youth Memorial Fund will ensure that her passion continues to be activated in the lives of those we serve.

Donations to the fund can be made at columbiaymca.org/WBYMF.

In the spirit of giving back to those in need, The Blood Connection will also be accepting blood donations from 9 am – 2 pm. All donors will receive a $20 gift card and a free COVID-19 antibodies test. Those interested in donating blood can sign up here. Use Code 34JR.
