At the Y, we know that staying healthy involves more than working out. Our programs and services focus on the entire family’s health, while providing a variety of fitness and wellness programs to serve a person’s unique needs. At the Y, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions so you can know the best ways to stay fit. We offer the latest fitness classes, personalized training programs, sports leagues for all ages and so much more.

Personal Training

The YMCA of Columbia offers a variety of options to fit your personal training needs. Your trainer will provide motivation to help you meet your goal, train for a sport, get ready for a special event, or just increase your level of health. Ages: 12 & UP

  • Personal Training (1:1)
  • Buddy Training (2:1)
  • Small Group Training (3 or more:1)

Group Exercise

From low-impact exercise, stretching and strength training to indoor cycling, water exercise, and yoga, the Y offers group exercise classes to suit every interest, and ability level.

Active Older Adults

Our Active Older Adult (AOA) programs are designed for men and women in their 50s and older. We encourage everyone to grow in the areas of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Our active adult exercise classes promote fitness and well-being while fostering friendships and camaraderie. Each YMCA of Columbia location offers different programming, so check the location nearest you for current information. Programs are open to members and non-members.

The YMCA of Columbia currently accepts Silver & Fit and Renew Active.

LIVESTRONG and Parkinson’s Network

LIVESTRONG
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free, 12-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors.

This program is free to qualifying participants and is funded by generous donors to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign.

PARKINSON’S NETWORK
Our Parkinson’s Network Program is a 12-week program that meets twice per week for 60 minutes. The program incorporates a variety of exercises to help those impaired by Parkinson’s Disease in everyday functions.

Participants must be 18 years old, provide a medical clearance form and be independently mobile or have someone present to assist them.
