Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Recruits, trains, develops, schedules and directs instructors as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance as required. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals. Ensures records of staff certifications are current and complet Creates and schedules swim classes, Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2. One to two years aquatics-related experience preferred. 3. Minimum age requirements may apply. 4. Typical requirements within 30 – 90 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention Certification; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens. 5. Completion of YMCA role-specific and trainer certifications. 6. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Physical Demands:
Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities.
Pay Rate: $16 an hour
Work days and times: 30 hours a week
