JOIN GIRLS ON THE RUN AT THE NORTHWEST FAMILY YMCA
So much more than running, Girls on the Run ignites a confidence unlike any other after school program. Inspiring girls to make new friends, discover healthy habits and lean in to what makes them unique, #GOTR focuses on the entirety of every girl. This season, sign your girl up for a program that empowers her body AND mind. Season starts February 14 and ends with a 5K on Saturday, April 29.

Registration: Dec. 7 – Feb. 22, 2023
Grades: 3rd thru 5th
Season: Feb. 14-April 29, 2022
Practice Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4:30- 5:45 pm (75 minutes)
Where: NorthWest Family YMCA | Girls will meet on the fields located directly behind the YMCA. In cases of inclement weather we will meet indoors at the Y.
What to Expect: Girls will participate in 16 interactive lessons with trained coaches. Participants will be separated into small groups for safety reason. They will receive the following materials: branded shirt, water bottle, journal, and other supplies. They will also receive an entry into the 5K ad will be provided with a medal. Registration Fee: $100 (YMCA Members) | $150 (Non-Members)
YMCA Members use code YMCA23. Nonmember enrolled in our After School Program can save $20 by using code AFTER20.
Financial assistance and payment plans available. A discount is offered to those who are participating in the YMCA Afterschool Program.

- Girls who were the least active at the start of the program increased their physical activity by more than 40%.
- 97% of participants said they learned critical skills to manage emotions, resolve conflict, help others or make intentional decisions.
