Remember the thrill of recess — that sweet escape from class, where fun and friendly competition reigned supreme? It’s making a comeback, just for adults!
We are excited to bring you The Recess League, a six-week adult recreational sports league that’s all about playing hard, laughing harder, and reconnecting with the joy of backyard games. Open to adults ages 18 and up, The Recess League is your chance to relive the best parts of childhood — without the school bell.
What Is The Recess League?
Each Tuesday night, participants will gather for a new backyard-style sport every week. No matter your skill level, this is your opportunity to get moving, meet new people, and have a blast competing in a low-pressure, high-fun environment.

Weekly Game Lineup:

Week 1 (5/12): Kickball

Week 2 (5/19): Pickleball

Week 3 (5/26): Ultimate Frisbee

Week 4 (6/2): Dodgeball

Week 5 (6/9): Volleyball

Week 6 (6/16): Wiffleball
Games will kick off between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM each Tuesday. Final team rosters and schedules will be released on Monday, May 11.
A League for Everyone
The Recess League is all about variety — and everyone gets in on the action. Every participant will play every sport. For pair-based games like Pickleball and Spikeball, teams will divide into duos and face off for the win.
Whether you’re a lifelong athlete or just looking for a fun way to stay active, The Recess League is for any adult who enjoys playful competition in a welcoming, social setting.
Keep the Fun Going After the Game
The fun doesn’t stop when the last point is scored! At the end of the season enjoy a post-game social in the Community Room, for snack and refreshments while we crown the new champions.
Registration Details
Ready to jump in? You can register as an individual, with a partner, or as part of a team (up to 12 people). If registering with others, be sure to include all teammate names. Team registrations must be paid in a single transaction. Contact Ashley Fields for team pricing. (Must register by May 8.)
