Announcing Anna Ross: Vice President of Operations at Jeep Rogers Family YMCA & Kershaw County YMCA
We are excited to share that Anna Ross has been promoted to Vice President of Operations for the Jeep Rogers & Kershaw County YMCA.
Anna has been a dedicated and influential leader at the YMCA of Columbia since 2018. She began as Membership Director, advanced to Associate Executive Director, and most recently served as Director of Operations & Program Innovation—supporting membership and aquatics operations across every branch in our association.
But Anna’s connection to the Y began long before her career did.
As a three-year-old in Charlotte, she entered swim lessons terrified, separated from her mother who was too afraid of water to stay in the pool area. A gentle swim instructor knelt down, smiled, and helped her feel safe. That small moment has shaped Anna’s entire leadership philosophy: meet people where they are, create belonging, and lead with heart.
Today, Anna brings that same spirit—combined with deep operational expertise—to her new role.
She has successfully managed a $3.2 million annual budget, built and developed high-performing teams of more than 150 part-time staff and multiple full-time directors, and led critical association-wide initiatives in membership quality, aquatics safety, youth development, and facility operations. She is also a respected Y-USA Accredited Trainer, known for strengthening leaders across the movement.
Her hands-on facility knowledge, strategic decision-making, and proven ability to elevate programs across multiple branches make her exceptionally prepared to guide the Jeep Rogers & Kershaw County YMCA into its next chapter.
