Ballentine Family YMCA (opening soon)

Applications for all Ballentine positions will be accepted until February 1, 2015. All interviews will be scheduled for the week of February 2, 2015.

ChildWatch Staff
Incumbents of the ChildWatch staff are responsible for supervising children participating in the ChildWatch program. The incumbent provides high quality recreational experiences for the children that focus on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring. $7.25 – $7.75/hour. Group Exercise Instructor
The Group Exercise Instructor instructs quality group fitness classes, provides excellent customer service to members in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment that promotes member wellness in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Healthy Living Coach 
The YMCA of Columbia Healthy Living Coach will motivate, support and give guidance to participants in the YMCA health and wellness programs. The incumbent will support and guide participants on a path through behavior change. The Healthy Living Coach will encourage participants to become aware of their surroundings and the impact they have on their choices related to nutrition and physical activity. Membership Services Representative
The Membership Service Representative is part of a team responsible for the overall delivery of excellent customer service to all members, guests, and program participants of the branch. The incumbent is responsible for the sale of memberships, responding to member and guest needs, promoting programs and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the Membership Desk. Personal Trainer
The Personal Trainer follows the YMCA health and fitness guidelines and is responsible for planning and leading a range of individualized or group exercise/activity sessions for clients in a fitness specialty area. The incumbent performs a variety of fitness programs that are both educational and motivational. The incumbent provides customer service, which promotes member wellness in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures and creates a safe, enjoyable and positive environment. Downtown YMCA

Healthy Living/Wellness Coach 
The YMCA of Columbia Healthy Living/Wellness Coach will motivate, support and give guidance to participants in the YMCA health and wellness programs. The incumbent will support and guide participants on a path through behavior change. The coach will encourage participants to become aware of their surroundings and the impact they have on their choices related to nutrition and physical activity. Knowledge of basic health, nutrition and fitness required. The coach will provide orientations to members using the strength training, free weight and cardio equipment in the facility. $9/hour. Sports Coordinator
A Direct report to the Health Enhancement/Sports Director, the Sports Coordinator will assist with the responsibilities for overseeing youth and adult sports leagues. Knowledge of recreational sports is required and includes but is not limited to: soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, lacrosse and volleyball. A minimum of 1 year of successful experience managing organized sports experience is required, as well as some experience in staff development, communications program management and budgeting. Must be able to work at least 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends. Please send resumes to Jennifer Sedio by January 31.

Afterschool Counselors
Monday-Friday (varies)  from 2pm until close (varies). Over 18 preferred. Must have a great attitude and the desire to work, assist, and be a positive role model in a child’s life. Pay: $7.25/hr. Please apply to Liz Woodard by September 19.

Member Services Representative
Member Service staff is responsible for providing excellent customer service & keeping members informed of YMCA policies & programs.  Will assist in membership development by building relationships, answering phones, program registration, conducting facility tours, membership sales, and online registration. Minimum 21 years of age with High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.  Ideal candidate will support the mission of the YMCA, display positive and friendly attitude, and possess good customer service and organizational skills. Bus Drivers
Bus drivers are responsible for safely transporting children to various programs and trips. The incumbent will provide supervision and direction for children while they are on the bus. Hours: Monday-Friday, 2 – 4 p.m. Contact Liz Woodard to apply.

We are looking for bus drivers to be on call when our normal drivers are not able to work. The requirements are the same as above. Contact Liz Woodard to be one of our subs.

Lexington Family YMCA

Member Services Representative

Bus Drivers

Class B or C Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Bus Driver with passenger endorsement needed for Afterschool. Must be 21 years old and have clean driving record. 20 – 30 hours/week, $15/$18 per hour. Contact Savanah Standifer to apply.

NorthWest Family YMCA

Member Services Representative

Personal Trainer
Personal Trainers are responsible for the creation, scheduling and implementation of a program designed to meet the client’s specified fitness goals in accordance with current safety exercise standards.  In addition, the Personal Trainer will follow all policies set forth by the Association, provide individual, small group and/or class instruction in wellness program development, strength and cardiovascular training.  The personal trainer acts as a liaison and champion for Activate Greater Columbia. Qualifications include; High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of related experience required.  Must have current personal training certification by the ACE, and AFAA, ACSM or other YMCA of Greater Cincinnati recognized certifying agency.  Must have current CPR and first aid certification or equivalent or obtain within 6 months of employment. Must obtain Principles of Health & Fitness and YMCA Strength & Conditioning certification or equivalent within six (6) months of employment or first available training.  Please send resumes to toddheinecke@columbiaymca.org. Afterschool Counselors
The NorthWest Family YMCA is hiring afterschool counselors. This position will be part time Monday – Friday from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. with occasional weekend work. Interested applicants should send their resumes to Todd Heinecke at  toddheinecke@columbiaymca.org. Salary Range – $7.25-$9.00 per hour.

Orangeburg County YMCA

Lifeguard
