Camp Leadership Staff
Are you looking for an amazing summer experience? Are you great with kids, parents and working with others? Do you have the leadership skills that it takes to help lead our camp huddles to the next level? The Jeep Rogers Family YMCA summer camp has four Camp Leader positions available for our Summer Day Camp Program. Camp Leaders lead the day to day operations of their huddle of campers, directly supervise other camp staff an d prepare staff and camper schedules and regularly communicate with parents of campers.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Pay Rate: $8.85 per hour, depending on experience.

Summer Camp Positions
Camp Occaneechi Staff
Runner
Monday – Friday
Hours 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with varying shifts
One of our most important positions, runners have their hands in a little bit of everything at camp. Runners directly work with the Day Camp Director to provide service to huddles, campers and parents. Runners spend time helping the Camp Director take care of Administrative duties as well as providing support to Huddle Leaders and Counselors.
$7.25 to 7.50 per hour
Camp Counselors
Monday – Friday
Hours 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with varying shifts
Camp Counselors help lead huddles of campers through their day, provide support to the huddle leader and on occasion, communicates with parents of campers. Counselors make our day go! Are you great with kids, love to play and looking to make a difference in the life of a camper…we might be looking for you!
Pay Rate: $7.25 – $7.75 per hour depending on experience
