Statewide HEPA Project Coordinator
Duties include to serve as the liason between University of South Carolina study staff and South Carolina Y’s that have adopted HEPA Standards. This position will require traveling regularly across the state to ensure that the study is operating smoothly. He or she will troubleshoot problems and communicate continually with YMCA staff and USC study staff. This position reports directly to the SC Alliance of YMCA;s Executive Director, in partnership with USC’s study supervisor. This is a 4-year grant-funded position. Salary: $38,000-$50,000. Youth Development Director – Richland One School District Afterschool Program
Responsible for managing, directing and coordinating the afterschool programs for six elementary schools in the Richland One School District; ensuring high quality programs and establishing new program activities; and expanding the program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Youth Development Site Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, the Site Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision at one Richland One School District after school program and up to four associates; will ensure the safety and well-being of each child in the program at all times; maintain maximum cordial relationships with the parents or guardians of the children and the administration of the building where the site is located; is responsible for continued compliance with the YMCA standards and child care licensing regulations; and implements operations involving safety, nutrition, hygiene, scheduling, tuition, discipline, curriculum, planning, programming, collection of child care payments, recordkeeping, and site maintenance. NorthWest Family YMCA
Youth Program Director
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Youth Program Director is responsible for the After School and Camp programs at the Northwest Family YMCA. This position requires an outgoing personality with excellent organizational and communication skills. This position is directly responsible for the leadership of an afterschool program that provides transportation from 9 schools back to the Y for the on site program. This position will focus on the quality of the program and strive to meet the financial budget while being responsible for the direct supervision of after school counselors and summer camp employees. Member Services Representative
Member Service staff is responsible for providing excellent customer service & keeping members informed of YMCA policies & programs. Will assist in membership development by building relationships, answering phones, program registration, conducting facility tours, membership sales, cash receipting procedures & proficiently performing all membership functions in the Daxko system. Minimum 18 years of age with High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Daxko & Microsoft Office required. Ideal candidate will support the mission of the YMCA, display positive and friendly attitude, possess good customer service and organizational skills. The Building Supervisor will be responsible for the safety & security of the branch during evening and weekend hours. Must adhere to safety policies & procedures and respond to emergencies. Complete incident/accident reports, conduct facility tours and answer questions. Secure the facility before closing at night. Must be 21 years or older, energetic and responsible. Personal Trainers are responsible for the creation, scheduling and implementation of a program designed to meet the client’s specified fitness goals in accordance with current safety exercise standards. In addition, the Personal Trainer will follow all policies set forth by the Association, provide individual, small group and/or class instruction in wellness program development, strength and cardiovascular training. The personal trainer acts as a liaison and champion for Activate Greater Columbia. Qualifications include; High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of related experience required. Must have current personal training certification by the ACE, and AFAA, ACSM or other YMCA of Greater Cincinnati recognized certifying agency. Must have current CPR and first aid certification or equivalent or obtain within 6 months of employment. Must obtain Principles of Health & Fitness and YMCA Strength & Conditioning certification or equivalent within six (6) months of employment or first available training. Jeep Rogers Family YMCA
Afterschool counselors create a safe, fun environment for children ages 5 years through middle school and are responsible for teaching and modeling YMCA character values. Under the guidance of the School Age Director, counselors are primarily responsible for providing and implementing a high quality, developmentally-appropriate curriculum in specific program areas, ensuring children’s social, physical, spiritual and mental development in the program. The Jeep Rogers Y is looking for volunteer soccer coaches for teams with children ages 3-8.Required time: 1 hour per week for practice and 1 hour for games on Saturdays. Requirements: General knowledge of soccer, pass background check and complete Child Abuse Prevention Training (40 minute test). All games and practices will be held at the Jeep Rogers YMCA.
