The Jeep Rogers Family YMCA at Lake Carolina offers a complete lineup of activities and programs for the whole family. Sports, strength and wellness, health screenings, tennis, and childcare. Located in the Lake Carolina area, the branch is perfect for northeastern residents.

Whether you have a passion for sports, aquatics, art, or you just don’t want to workout alone, our programs offer you the chance to challenge yourself while keeping your mind and body active.

Be “in the know” about what’s going on at the Y. From Aquatics to ZUMBA…and everything in between, there’s a Y program for everybody in your family!

Bring a friend for free in December!

Bring a friend for free on Fridays in December! Guest accompanied by an adult Y member (ages 18 & up) are welcome at no charge.

Have friends or family visiting for the holidays? Any day, December 20-26, Y adult members can bring a friend (18+) for FREE!

30+ Adult Basketball League

YMCA adult sports provide a perfect opportunity to be active, social and reconnect or start fresh with a sport you love. Games will be played for 8 weeks. Participants must turn 30 years old no later than February 30. Team max is 10 players. See you at tip-off!

Registration: November 9-February 8 (online registration closes February 1)

Days: February 9-March 29, 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights (possibly some Thursday nights)

Cost: $400 per team/$35 individual for YMCA members; $400 per team/$55 individuals for non-members

Teen Basketball League

Ages: 13-17

Improve your skills, make new friends, be active with other kids and learn to love the sport of basketball. The teen basketball league is an 8-week season for ages 13-17. Games will be played on Friday nights at 6:30 p.m. (may have some Saturday games). Teams have a max of 10 players. There will be practice the week of February 8 only, then games run February 12-April 1.

Cost: $38 YMCA members/$68 non-members

Winter Break Camp

Bring your kids to the Y over winter break! We’ll discover new things while participating in holiday-themed activities. Lunch, snack and water bottles will be provided.


Two week camp: December 21-30, 2015 (except December 24-25 & December 31-January 1)

Ages: 5-12

Preregistration is required to attend.

Times: Drop off starts at 7 a.m. and pick up by 6 p.m.

Cost: $115 members/$155 non-members

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free, 12-week, small group program designed for adult cancer survivors.

This program fulfills the important need of supporting cancer survivors in our community. They will work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals such as building strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.

This program is free to participants and is funded by generous donors to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign.

Fall into Fitness Challenge

Want to earn points and get cool prizes? Sign up today for the 6-week Fall into Fitness Challenge!

The Fall Fitness Challenge will use MobileFit software to track your healthy activities over the course of 6 weeks. Each time you track your activities, you will be awarded points. Points add up to levels, and you will be awarded a prize at each level. You must be registered with MobileFit to participate (please visit the front desk to sign up if you have not already done so).

Dates: October 19-November 30

Level 1: 1-1,500 points (water bottle)
Level 2: 2,500 points (lunch box)
Level 3: 3,000 points (t-shirt)

Every participant must be registered and every individual or team/group must pick up a packet containing a t-shirt and other important race information. You must register by November 26 to be guaranteed a race shirt.

Proceeds benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign which ensures everyone has access to YMCA programs and services through scholarships and financial assistance. This race is held in memory of Mr. Jeep Rogers.

Wee Wonders Preschool Program

Wee Wonders Preschool Program

Ages: 2 – 5 years

We carefully design every activity with our Wee Wonders Preschool Program to expand their imaginations and encourage lifelong, positive values. We offer half-day programs from the Y-Preschool Curriculum, fostering the development of the whole child and include activities that are well balanced with recreational, educational, character development and enrichment activities. Program runs with the Richland Two School District Calendar including all Holiday and In-service Days. You will be asked to provide snack for the class at least once a month (you will receive a calendar with the dates).

Preschool 8:45 a.m. – 12: 45 p.m.

8:45-9: Drop-off/ free time
9-9:30: Circle time
9:30-10:15: Lesson plan time, worksheets, etc.
10:15-10:30: Bathroom break
10:30-11:15: Hands-on activities

11:45- 12: Bathroom break
12-12:45: Unstructured play time (playground or class room stations)    

Doodle Bugs

This program focuses on small motor skills, independent play and shapes, colors, and letters. Twice a month they will attend a kids exercise class to help improve their motor skills.

Age: 2 years old (must be 2 by September 1)

Days: Two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Members: $110 /month
Non-members: $160 / month  

Busy Bees

This program focuses on further developing small motor skills, social skills and delving further into shapes, colors, and letters. Twice a month they will attend a kids’ exercise class to help improve their motor skills and they will also go swimming once or twice a month.

Age: 3 years old (must be 3 by September 1)

Days: Three days a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Members: $165 / month
Non-members: $205 / month

Book Worms

Age: 4 years old (must be 4 by September 1)

This program focuses on socialization, Kindergarten readiness, independent letter recognition, popcorn (sight) words, counting, and everything they will need to be ready for Kindergarten. Twice a month they will attend a kids exercise class to help improve their motor skills, as well as go swimming twice a month.

Days: Monday through Friday

Members: $235 / month
Non-members: $280 / month
