Let’s honor the fallen TOGETHER!

Join us in remembering the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price on September 11, 2001. We invite members to recognize the first responders who gave their all on 9/11 by climbing the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs on our stair climbers. This is the same number of flights that fire, police, EMT’s and other heroes climbed on 9/11.

The 9/11 Stair Climb Challenge will be held September 1-11, 2022, on the Jeep Rogers wellness floor. The Y will provide a large board to help you keep track of your daily totals.  See how […]

Flag Football and All Girls Flag Football

THE Y… BUILDING TEAM PLAYERS!

Flag football provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in a non-contact sport while learning lessons in teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will learn the FUNdamentals of football, both offensive and defensive strategies. During the games players will have the opportunity to play different positions. Everyone gets to play a minimum of half the game.  

This season the Y will offer Pee Wee Flag Football, Flag Football, and an All-Girls Flag Football. ALL players must wear a mouthguard.  Jerseys will be provided.

Community Clean-up Day – NorthWest Family YMCA

The NorthWest Family YMCA is hosting a Community Trash Pickup Day on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8:00 to 10:00 am to help the community look its best. All ages are welcome! This is a great way for middle and high school students to get some community services hours. Check-in will be at 7:45 am the day of the event.

Basketball Clinic on Sat., Aug. 20 – Jeep Rogers YMCA

This one day Basketball camp is hosted by former collegiate player and current local Semi-Pro coach Nelson Jones. Players will learn fundamentals while growing their mental and physical basketball abilities.  Participants will be split into two ages groups – 6-9 and 10-15. 

Coach Jones and his team have years of private and group clinics experience and we are excited to partner with them once again.

TIME: 1:00 to 5:00 pm

NorthWest Y Facility Update – Front Parking Lot Closed Tuesday, Aug. 16

The NorthWest Family YMCA will close their front parking lot on Tuesday, August 16 from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm. A large crane will be parked in the front lot to install nine new HVAC units!

Swim Stroke Lessons

The Jeep Rogers Family YMCA is NOW OFFERING evening Swim Stroke Lessons ! These clinics are perfect for the swimmer that wants to refine their technique without the pressure of competing.  Lessons will focus on the four competitive swim strokes – freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly – as well as turns and dives.

Must be able to swim 25 yards non-stop to enroll. All lessons are taught by a Y-USA certified swim instructor.

AGES: 4-12

WHEN: Monday/Wednesday -or- Tuesday/Thursday

TIME:
6:30 to 7:15 pm
