Join is for our WRAPABULL PUMPKIN RUN on Oct. 22, 2022 at the NorthWest Family YMCA! Wear your favorite costume and come run, jog or walk for a great cause! Proceeds from the race benefit the Y’s Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance to those in our community who need the Y’s life-changing programs and services.

Downtown – Rosewood Elementary on site Afterschool staff
Under the direction of the Youth Development Director, Afterschool Counselors will provide day-to-day direction and supervision of assigned program locations. Staff will manage groups of children ages 4-12 and lead group games, art/stem time, and help with homework. Staff will uphold the standard of ensuring that all programs operate in a quality manner consistent with the Y mission, cause and values.

NBC’s TODAY Show Spotlights the Importance of Safety Around Water at the Jeep Rogers Family YMCA
COLUMBIA, SC – The TODAY Show visited the Jeep Rogers Family YMCA in April to spotlight the importance of water safety and learning to swim. The story featured an interview with NBC’s TODAY Show Anchor Craig Melvin and his brother Ryan (age 36), who is taking swim lessons at the Jeep Rogers Y.
It also included information about the Y’s Safety Around Water (SAW) program, which teaches 2nd graders at Richland Two Schools basic lessons on safety while in and around water.
Two segments aired on the TODAY show on Tuesday, May 17.

The YMCA of Columbia is happy to announce that Barry Neville joined our team as the new Competitive Swimming Director and Head Coach of the YMCA of Columbia Swim Club (Mudcats) on Monday, Oct. 18.
