Let’s see which YMCA branch can get the most donations!* The YMCA and the American Red Cross are partnering for a “Day of Giving” across the Central SC footprint on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to take care of the building and take care of you! Over the first quarter of this year, we have fixed many building and workout equipment issues, but are still working through some others. Here is a list of the 1st quarter fixes:

ORANGEBURG COUNTY YMCA – FACILITY RENTAL PRICES

Are you looking for space for an upcoming event? YMCA facilities are available to rent seven days a week, subject to availability. Events must be booked at least two weeks in advance to allow for proper staffing.  Alcohol is prohibited at all YMCA of Columbia locations. Bounce Houses, ball pits and other soft play structures are also prohibited.

Now Offering T-Ball at Our NorthWest YMCA Location!

NEW! The NorthWest Family YMCA is now offering PEE WEE T-BALL for kids ages 3-5. T-Ball is great way for young children to develop hand/eye coordination and ball skills. Children will hit the ball off of a stationary tee and use a softer ball, making it safer for young kids to learn introductory baseball and softball skills.

Jersey shirt and ball cap will be provided by the YMCA. Parents must provide baseball pants, cleats, and glove. All other equipment will be provided by the YMCA.  Teams will play 6 games.

LiveStrong for Cancer Survivors

LIVESTRONG is a free 12-week  program designed for adult cancer survivors.

This small group program fulfills the important need of supporting cancer survivors in our community. Survivors will work with Y staff, trained in supportive cancer care, to safely achieve their goals such as:

»  Building Strength;
»  Increasing Flexibility and Endurance;
»  Improving Confidence and Self-Esteem.

By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is helping people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind and body.
