The basketball youth sports program has been developed to teach and encourage teamwork and good sportsmanship. Players will learn the fundamentals of basketball, both offensive and defensive strategies. During the games players will have the opportunity to play different positions.

Flag Football

Our Flag Football program provides young players a fun and exciting chance to engage in non-contact, continuous action while learning firsthand about teamwork and sportsmanship. The program teaches kids the fundamentals skills of flag football with instruction to improve their game.

Soccer

Our soccer participants learn the fundamentals of soccer, teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun environment. Coaches focus on skills and all soccer players participate in weekly practices and games.

Volleyball

The Volleyball League is focused on skills development as well as developing good sportsmanship. Participants will have practice once a week with games on Saturday mornings. All players must provide their own knee pads.

Volleyball Clinics

Participants will be split into two groups on separate courts to allow players to learn skills according to their current ability. Skills taught include serving, setting, passing, attacking, and communication on the court.

The YMCA of Columbia Offers Private Tennis lessons for all ages and all levels of experience.

$50 per lesson for members
NorthWest Family YMCA
Coached by Jon Wheeler, lessons are designed to teach: quick start tennis format, forehand, backhand, volley, serve, scoring and more techniques relevant to the game of tennis. Offered in 30 minute or 60 minute sessions.
