Discover T-ball at the YMCA

The NorthWest Family YMCA is now offering PEE WEE T-BALL for kids ages 3-6. T-Ball is a great way for young children to develop hand/eye coordination. Children will learn the basics of the game of baseball and softball including hitting the ball off of a tee, throwing and catching.

Jersey shirt and ball cap will be provided by the YMCA. Parents must provide baseball pants, cleats, and glove. All other equipment will be provided by the YMCA. Teams will play six games.

SEASON
October 21-December 16, 2024

All practices and games will be held on Monday evenings, 5:30-7:30 pm. Teams will practice for an hour, for the first two Mondays and then begin their practice/games together on Monday evenings beginning Nov. 4.

Registration & Schedule

Each week, players participate in interactive practice sessions designed to develop their baseball skills, improve hand-eye coordination, and enhance their understanding of the game.

Regular Registration: August 12 – October 6, 2024

Late Registration: October 7-13, 2024 ($25 Late Fee)

First Practice: Week of October 21st

First Game: November 4, 2024

Bye Week: November 25-30, 2024

Last Game: December 16, 2024

We believe that volunteer coaches play a vital role in the success of our T-ball program. If you have a passion for baseball and enjoy working with children, we invite you to become a volunteer coach at YMCA T-ball. As a coach, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young athletes’ lives, teaching them the fundamentals of the game and instilling valuable life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship. Don’t worry if you don’t have coaching experience – we provide training and resources to support you along the way. Join our dedicated team of coaches and help shape the next generation of baseball stars!

Skill Development

T-ball focuses on developing fundamental baseball skills, including hitting, throwing, catching, and base running. Through fun and engaging activities, children enhance their hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and overall athletic abilities. Our program emphasizes individual skill development, ensuring that each player progresses at their own pace and experiences success on the field.

Teamwork and Sportsmanship

T-ball provides a fantastic platform for children to learn about teamwork and sportsmanship. Players work together, support one another, and develop a sense of camaraderie as they navigate the game.
