We’re excited to announce the grand opening of a brand-new Disc Golf Course at the Northwest Family YMCA—and the community is invited to celebrate!
Join us on Field XXX at 11:00 AM for a free Grand Opening Event marking the official launch of the course. Whether you’re a seasoned disc golfer or trying the sport for the first time, this event is designed to welcome players of all ages and skill levels.

Supporting a Girl Scout Gold Award Project
This new 9-hole disc golf course is part of Pearl Owens’ Girl Scout Gold Award Project. As a dedicated Girl Scout, Pearl led the design and installation of the course to create a fun, accessible recreational opportunity for the Irmo community and YMCA members alike. Her project reflects the Gold Award’s focus on leadership, service, and lasting community impact.
Disc golf is a fast-growing sport that blends outdoor recreation, skill, and fun—and this course adds another exciting way for the community to stay active, connect, and enjoy the outdoors at the Y.
The event is free, and the course will officially open that day. Come celebrate Pearl’s achievement, throw the first discs, and help us kick off this new amenity at the Northwest Family YMCA. 🥏
