Community Support Fuels YMCA of Columbia’s Mission

The YMCA of Columbia is grateful for the generosity of our members, volunteers, staff, and community supporters who contributed to the 2026 Annual Campaign.

This year, 275 donors pledged $74,159 in support of the YMCA’s mission to strengthen spirit, mind, and body for all. To date, $61,173 has been received, helping ensure that individuals and families throughout the Midlands have access to YMCA programs and services regardless of their ability to pay.

Support came from across the association, with donors investing in the communities served by each YMCA branch:

  • Ballentine Family YMCA: 3 donors pledged $1,600
  • Downtown YMCA: 47 donors pledged $31,494
  • Northwest Family YMCA: 52 donors pledged $10,642
  • Jeep Rogers Family YMCA: 94 donors pledged $10,419
  • Orangeburg County YMCA: 47 donors pledged $6,185
  • Association Giving: 32 donors pledged $13,819

Every contribution helps provide financial assistance, youth development programs, wellness opportunities, and community outreach initiatives that positively impact lives throughout our region.

The spirit of giving continued during Midlands Gives, where an additional $2,700 was raised from 18 donors. These gifts further support the YMCA’s efforts to create opportunities for children, families, and seniors across the communities we serve.

While the Annual Campaign has concluded, the opportunity to make a difference continues throughout the year. Donations can be made year-round, helping the YMCA respond to community needs and provide programs that strengthen individuals and families every day.

As a special thank you, donors who contributed $75 or more to the Annual Campaign can pick up their campaign t-shirt at their local YMCA branch.

The YMCA of Columbia extends its sincere appreciation to every donor who invested in our mission. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
