Experience an action-packed summer at YMCA Adventure Camp! Designed for children ages 9 to 14, this program blends exploration, skill-building, and unforgettable memories. Each week features a new, exciting theme, from cooking and art to sports and outdoor adventures. Campers develop valuable skills, spark their creativity, and connect with friends who share their passions.

Cola Crew | June 1-5
Experience Columbia like never before! Campers will delve into the unique character of our capital city, exploring its renowned museums, lush green spaces, and historic landmarks. From educational tours to local adventures, the “Cola Crew” will discover the best of what the Soda City has to offer in a refined and engaging environment. Cost: $185 Members, $210 Nonmembers
Animal Lovers | June 8-12
Embark on a wildlife adventure to discover fascinating creatures of all shapes and sizes. Campers will delve into the vital worlds of habitat preservation and environmental conservation through immersive, first-hand animal encounters that bring learning to life.

Behind the Beat | June 15-19
Campers will learn basic instruments, master fundamental rhythms, and explore the inner workings of the music industry. This unique camp is offered in partnership with the University of South Carolina School of Music Industry program and is made possible through the generous support of the Hootie and the Blowfish Foundation.

Dice, Cards & Joysticks | June 22-26
Your child will engage in a variety of tabletop board games, card games, TCGs, and video games while exploring local game stores across the community. This week is designed to strengthen critical problem-solving skills, cultivate exceptional sportsmanship, and nurture lasting friendships.

On the Water 1 | June 29-July 3
From South Carolina’s serene lakes and winding rivers to our own refreshing pools, there is a world of aquatic wonder waiting to be explored. Campers will immerse themselves in “all things water,” enjoying activities like boating, fishing, and splashing through a week of unforgettable outdoor adventure.

Get Up & Go | July 6-10
This high-energy week is packed with sports, hiking, and swimming as we explore the many ways to stay active. Because we will be exploring several miles of local trails, campers must wear supportive walking shoes suitable for long distances; a large water bottle or hydration backpack is highly encouraged to keep our adventurers fueled and ready for action. Cost: $185 Members, $210 Nonmembers
On the Water 2 | July 13-17
The aquatic adventure continues! In our second installment of “On the Water”. Whether we’re returning to favorite fishing spots or discovering new boating routes, this week focuses on environmental appreciation, and, of course, endless splashing fun. It’s the perfect encore for every water-loving adventurer. Cost: $205 Members, $230 Nonmembers
Visual Arts | July 20-24
Campers will explore a variety of artistic mediums, such as pottery, canvas painting, macramé, and more. This hands-on experience allows young artists to develop their unique style and culminates in a formal Camp Art Showcase at the end of the week, where friends and family can celebrate their original masterpieces. Cost:$205 Members, $230 Nonmembers
Culinary Kids | July 27-31
Understanding the fundamentals of the kitchen prepares every child for a well-fueled, healthy life. Campers will explore the fascinating journey of their favorite foods from farm to plate, engaging all five senses through hands-on experimentation and culinary creativity. This week is perfect for young chefs eager to master new skills and gain confidence in the kitchen. Cost: $205 Members, $230 Nonmembers
Note: Activities are subject to availability and safety conditions. Updates will be communicated via email closer to the start of summer. For any weeks that an additional per person fee is indicated, families will receive a credit for that amount if particular events/activities are canceled and cannot be rescheduled that week.
