Right now, many families across the Midlands are facing growing food insecurity. With uncertainty surrounding SNAP benefits and the ongoing government shutdown, local food banks are experiencing a surge in demand — and they need our help.

Each year, the YMCA of Columbia hosts GIVE WHAT YOU CAN, our annual food drive dedicated to helping our neighbors in need. We’re calling on our members, staff, and friends to come together once again and show just how generous YMCA members can be.

The Orangeburg County YMCA is excited to host Trunk or Treat, a safe and family-friendly alternative to traditional trick-or-treating. Families can enjoy decorated trunks, candy, costumes, games, and fall fun—all in a well-lit and supervised environment.

We’re currently seeking donations of individually wrapped candy and inviting local organizations, businesses, and community groups to volunteer by decorating a trunk. Your support will help make this event a memorable Halloween celebration for kids across Orangeburg County.

2025 Fall Sweet Shots Basketball Clinics

Take your game to the next level! Each week, a different age group takes the spotlight with action-packed sessions designed to build confidence and sharpen skills. Players will practice the fundamentals—dribbling, shooting, defense, and teamwork—through fast-paced drills and fun challenges.

Led by experienced coaches, every clinic is tailored to each group’s level so players of all abilities can learn, improve, and thrive in a supportive, high-energy environment. Open to all skill levels—come ready to play, grow, and have fun!
