You’ve been asking for an afternoon aerobics class and we listened! Come and join us for a preview of our upcoming October class. Enjoy a fun, aerobic workout from 5:15-6:00 pm with Alex on one or all of the following dates:

Welcome Mike Lagomarsine – New Downtown YMCA Director of Membership and Wellness
The YMCA of Columbia is happy to announce that Michael (Mike) Lagomarsine joined the Downtown YMCA Staff as the Director of Membership and Wellness on Monday, Aug. 30.
Mike comes to us from the University of South Carolina where he served as the Assistant Director for Campus Recreation the last six years. During his time there, he oversaw two fitness centers consisting of over 275 pieces of equipment and managed an operational and equipment budget of over $500,000. Back-to-School Parent’s Night Out – August 13!
Join Us for a Back-to-School Bash Parent’s Night Out at the Orangeburg County YMCA on Friday, August 13 from 5-7:30 pm! Kids will enjoy art activities, game time, fitness fun, and refreshments. Each participant will receive a bag of school supplies and YMCA swag. It’s sure to be a blast!

Free Mammograms for Qualified Candidates
Are you due for a mammogram screening?
Mammograms are being provided by Best Chance Network and SC DHEC on Thursday, July 22 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the NorthWest Family YMCA located located at 1501 Kennerly Road, Irmo, SC 29063 for qualified applicants.
If you meet the requirements listed on the flyer/income sheet, please make an appointment with our FREE mobile mammography unit.
Appointments are available every 15 minutes starting at 9:00 am. The unit will be closed from 12:00-12:30 pm for lunch.
