For the safety of our YMCA members, program participants and staff, we are being thoughtful and intentional about our reopening process. Based on CDC and State guidelines, all membership branches are operating with limited cardio equipment offerings and reduced hours to allow our staff team to maintain facility cleanliness.

NorthWest Family YMCA – American Red Cross Blood Drive
The NorthWest Family YMCA will host a RedCross Blood Drive on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 10 am to 3 pm. COVID-19 antibody testing included with blood donation.

Try this three-round Cardio Tabata* with a timer and your favorite cardio format to see how many miles you can work through in 23 minutes.
High Intensity Interval – work at your maximum intensity and aim to take your heart rate up to 80% of your target heart rate
Rest – bring your heart rate back to down to below 130bpm

YMCA OF COLUMBIA LAUNCHES WENDY BRODERICK YOUTH MEMORIAL FUND
[COLUMBIA, S.C. – January 7, 2021] – The YMCA of Columbia has created the Wendy Broderick Youth Memorial Fund in honor of Wendy Broderick, who passed away earlier this week after battling significant health challenges.
Broderick was an 18-year veteran of the YMCA of Columbia having most recently served as the Chief Development Officer in 2019. During her time with the Y, she made a significant impact. Her heart for philanthropy and leadership increased annual giving donations tenfold and she played an instrumental role in launching both the Jeep Rogers and Downtown Branch.
