NorthWest Y Facility Update – Front Parking Lot Closed Tuesday, Aug. 16

FRONT PARKING LOT CLOSED ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 16
The NorthWest Family YMCA will close their front parking lot on Tuesday, August 16 from 5:00 am to 2:00 pm. A large crane will be parked in the front lot to install nine new HVAC units!

Swim Stroke Lessons

The Jeep Rogers Family YMCA is NOW OFFERING evening Swim Stroke Lessons ! These clinics are perfect for the swimmer that wants to refine their technique without the pressure of competing.  Lessons will focus on the four competitive swim strokes – freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly – as well as turns and dives.

Must be able to swim 25 yards non-stop to enroll. All lessons are taught by a Y-USA certified swim instructor.

AGES: 4-12

WHEN: Monday/Wednesday -or- Tuesday/Thursday

TIME:
6:30 to 7:15 pm

FEE
(Monthly): $60 Members, $110 Non-members

Join us at the Downtown YMCA on Thursday, August 18 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm in Studio 2 for a free evening of game play!  Firefly Toys & Games will supply pinball machines, board games, cards, and more for all to enjoy.

This is a great way to unplug from the world and enjoy time with family and friends in a climate controlled environment.

The YMCA Home School Swim and Gym program is a great way to work physical activity, healthy living, socialization and play into your home school curriculum. 

The goal of swim and gym classes for students is to have planned individual and cooperative physical activity and fitness assessments promoting the students’ optimum physical, mental, emotional, and social development through a focus on swimming and sports. Students will need a swimsuit, towel, goggles, gym apparel, and a snack to participate.  Ages: 5-12
