Parent’s Night Out Art Event – Orangeburg Family YMCA

It’s time to sign up for our next Parent’s Night Out on Friday, Oct. 22 from 5:00-7:30pm! Your child is welcome to wear their favorite costume while they participate in art activities, game time, fitness fun and refreshments.

Kids Art Classes – First Saturday of Each Month at the Orangeburg Y

The Orangeburg County YMCA Kids Art Program is designed for ages 4-13 to have fun while learning art basics.  Kids will enjoy a “themed” story-time and a coinciding  art-making activity. Program will be led by Courtney Quarles (Ms.Q), a professional art educator. Space is limited to 15 participants per session. Sign-Up Today!

Welcome Mike Lagomarsine – New Downtown YMCA Director of Membership and Wellness

The YMCA of Columbia is  happy to announce that Michael (Mike) Lagomarsine joined the Downtown YMCA Staff as the Director of Membership and Wellness on Monday, Aug. 30.

Mike comes to us from the University of South Carolina where he served as the Assistant Director for Campus Recreation the last six years.  During his time there, he oversaw two fitness centers consisting of over 275 pieces of equipment and managed an operational and equipment budget of over $500,000. JEEP ROGERS FAMILY YMCA HAS BEEN SELECTED AS A LOWE’S 100 HOMETOWNS RECIPIENT

[COLUMBIA, SC – July 28, 2021] – The Jeep Rogers Family YMCA is thrilled to be one of the 100 impact projects that are the cornerstone of 100 Hometowns, an initiative to celebrate Lowe’s Home Improvement’s centennial.

Lowe’s received more than 2,200 submissions to the 100 Hometowns program, which invited people across the country to nominate their hometown projects in need.
