YMCA receives land donation at Townlee Lane

LUGOFF, SC – The YMCA of Columbia is celebrating the gift of 12.79 acres (Townlee and Cameron Lane) in Lugoff, SC. The Y has been exploring advancing their mission (To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.) into Kershaw County since March 2017. The YMCA of Columbia and the LIVESTRONG® Foundation have joined together to create LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors achieve their holistic health goals. The YMCA of Columbia kicked off its pilot program on Tuesday at the Downtown YMCA.

The research-based program offers people affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.
